Day 12: Forever young.

The other day I was sitting in traffic watching the construction (like we do on every street in Tulsa) and I noticed a guy operating a machine with a remote control.  This "machine" or in girls terms, one of those big yellow thingy's that moves dirt around or whatever, was large enough for him to ride in and yet he chose to walk behind it with his remote control.  I instantly thought of a little boy and his remote controlled yellow construction thingy and moving his little green soldiers from one place to another and basically not much has changed.  This most certainly holds true for us girls too.  Playing dress up, carrying our dolls around like babies and let's not forget about our tea parties (or wine as we now call it).  As adults we find these same toys everywhere rather it's our newest camera, phone, vehicle or your little boys remote controlled dump trunk and your baby girls barbie doll.  In my case, it's my cats little balls with the bell in them that she chases at warp speed from one room to another.  I don't know how many times the hubs and I have "1,2,3 not it" to get up in the middle of the night and take them away, not to mention the forty-two we found under everything when we moved.  In the end, it's whatever brings that smile to your face whether at work, checking your email on your phone, watching your child play or giggling at your crazy animal.  Toys, may they keep us forever young.
