Day 13: The magic's in the make up.

This goes right along with my previous post and playing dress up.  One of my first memories is watching my mom put on her make up and imitating every move with my pretend mascara and blush.  Fast forward a few years and I was sneaking into my older cousins room while she was away and putting on her blue eye shadow.  Again, nothing has really changed except it's not pretend and I don't have to sneak.  I can spend some serious time (and money) in Ulta, Sephora and the make up counter at Dillards.  Like most women, I've got a bag or drawer full of that "I've got to have that color eye shadow" or "THIS mascara is really going to make my lashes look fuller and longer".  I believe it to be true that there is magic in the make up.  That new mascara does make me feel like batting my eyes and that lip gloss is giving my pout that extra shimmer and I feel oh so pretty.  Like a good hair day, a good make up day is one that's going to give you that extra pep in your step and who doesn't need an extra boost of confidence from time to time.  So I say go ahead and put on the glittery eye shadow, ruby red lipstick and that extra layer of mascara.  You're worth it!
