My in-laws are in town to celebrate a late Christmas. This past Tuesday my mother-in-law, Kasey, had to put her beloved Corgi dog, Korky, down due to his cancer. Kasey is the biggest animal lover I have ever met. She has rode horses her whole life and worked for Hammond's Animal Hospital for 15 years before moving to Houston. My husband has many stories of all the animals they had while he was growing up from dogs, cats, horses, pigs and a squirrel (yes, an indoor pet squirrel). Today we went to the Tulsa Humane Society in hopes to find another beloved pet. As you can imagine, there were many dogs and cats all begging for new homes. I was happy to see that they were actually pretty busy and you could tell the employees really loved their job and the animals. We found Baxter, a Corgi mix, and it was love at first sight between he and Kasey. Baxter is four months old and full of love and energy. We're all hoping that we receive good news tomorrow and Baxter will join our Boswell family.
Think adoption first.
